Dwell Punakaiki - Steel with a Seaview

We're proud to have been part of Dwell Punakaiki, a high end luxury retreat perched right on the water's edge of the wild West Coast, soon to be featured on Grand Designs New Zealand. This one tested us. Punakaiki is a long haul to reach, so every load of steel was planned to the millimetre before it left the yard. The terrain is rugged country, and getting the crane in to lift our steel into place was a job in itself, all while working to a tight schedule with no room to slip. We pulled it off the way we like to, and the result is a striking retreat sitting against one of the most dramatic coastlines in the country, with steel holding it all together.
