The Britten Stables is an award-winning heritage restoration, recognised as Joint Winner of the 2021 Domestic Restored and Saved Heritage Award and featured on Grand Designs . Originally built over 120 years ago and later home to motorcycle designer John Britten, the building sustained significant damage in the Christchurch earthquakes and was initially deemed irreparable.
